OE-spec replacement installs between butterfly arm on carburetor and kickdown lever on automatic transmission. Mechanically downshifts the transmission in response to reaching sudden wide open throttle during normal cruise conditions, such as when needing to pass another car. Restores original functionality when replacing a failed or aging component.
